NaPoWriMo: Day 10

The Milan Gardens

Who faded? Sparks
surrender, descend,
outline fall.

Gone, robbed, blank.
They ponder what fails,
huddled in relief.

Dawn lifting peacefully,
once more to the eye.
Exist again.

This found poem was born from an extract of Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway. The poetry in her prose is a never-ending inspiration.
